Hello Shariff, Yes, when properly connected to existing doorbell wiring that is between 8-24 VAC, 40VA max, 50/60Hz the device will ring your home's internal mechanical chime kit. Here is a helpful, step-by-step guide to walk you through the process: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360041352731-How-to-Physically-Install-Your-Ring-Video-Doorbell-2020-release-With-an-Existing-Doorbell. For any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out on our community forum at https://community.ring.com/. Thanks, Alexis with Ring
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you are asking about hard wiring, I would contact Ring directly for their suggestion. Otherwise, the Ring camera that you own will be tied to your App on your phone, and you will be the only one who receives the alerts about activity unless you designate someone who is allowed to "share" your alerts, like someone who lives with you. You can do that on the App. If you have your own hardwired doorbell for your apartment only, and the wiring is only for your apartment, then you should be able to have an electrician hardwire the Ring for you and it would only be connected to your wiring/utility bill. Sometimes in apartment buildings the wiring is not completely separated by living unit though, so I would ask my landlord if the wiring is completely separated for utilities or if it is tied in to any other living unit. If it is separated, then ask to have an electrician install the Ring for you. Be careful trying to hardwire a device yourself, if you are unsure at all you should have an electrician do it, and remember to always have the power off at the breaker. Live wires can be very dangerous. The easiest thing to do would be to use the ring without hardwiring and just monitor the battery life in the App and charge as needed. Good luck!

When you connect to Alexa, Alexa tells you someone is at your door. You can customize that in the Alexa app. You can even customize which Alexa you want to announce the door if you have more than 1 Alexa like we do. If you want 2 cameras ring has just cameras that way you don’t have 2 doorbells on the house. Wyze cameras are amazing!!!!!! Amazon sells for $25 and they are better quality than ring. Even have a magnet on the bottom. My ring doesn’t work properly we can make it up the walkway, open the door, and get inside before we are notified someone is at the door. I guess the doorbell chime pro for $50 is suppose to strengthen the WiFi I haven’t purchased yet but will be soon.
