I may be misunderstanding your question, so I apologize in advance. But if you are speaking of the Chime devices, then yes those are most certainly and nice added addition to your doorbell. However, they are not required if you have Alexa echo devices or Alexa Show devices already on your home. You can set up your doorbell to have the “chime” sounds a doorbell typically makes, come thru loud and clear from your Alexa devices.
