If your receiver and/or amp accomodate banana plugs, I would use them. Otherwise just twist the stripped ends tightly and use them without a connector.

If your AV receiver can accept banana plugs, then this makes for a simple plug-in connector with your speakers. I have purchased both Rockfish and Sewell banana plugs. Both of these brands allow you to connect through either the end of the plug (my preferred method) or into a hole in the side of the plug. Of course, you don't necessarily need any connector -- if you are on a tight budget or don't want to spend the extra money on banana plugs, you can strip off and twist a half-inch of bare cable from its jacket and connect to both speaker and receiver by tightening down on the metal fibers. But again, if you are connecting 7+ speakers to the back of your receiver, banana plugs provide a cleaner, more professional look, as well as the ability to quickly disconnect any speaker from the system instantaneously.
