Yes it is. I can't recall the actual amount of coverage, but it is included and was one of the perks on myself purchasing this. We've had this a year now and love it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello! This surge protector does not count with coaxial protection. The best solution if you're looking for a surge that counts with coaxial protection included and that is in the same price range, would be the following: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/rocketfish-8-outlet-2-usb-surge-protector-strip-black/4689072.p?skuId=4689072 Regards, Daniel T. - Rocketfish Support
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Power outages caused the surge protector wouldn't work after may be two times during the last 25 years or so. Computer, TV, recorder, players....on the strip were all good. They were the high priced with high joules surge protectors. This one doesn't have coax protected because it is a lower price has only 2100 joules too. I bough it because it is HDR and I will use it for like bluray players....
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.NO there is no coax protection on this unit.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Disclosure: I'm an electrical engineering tech with an electric utility who deals in communications issues as well. Your unit was likely fried by excess voltage carried on the coaxial signal cable. That isn't part of your electrical distribution system. Unfortunately, that is the one downside of cable internet and some DSL lines. If the comm line takes a hit, your modem is frying. There isn't a surge protector that prevents this (including this one). The one bright side is that an isolated unit protector like this will keep other devices on the strip from getting fried by the voltage coming in over the coax and in to the modem.
