Tighten the pivot/swing limit screws on the top or bottom of the arm

I had a similar problem. When moving the TV all the wall back against the wall, from left to right, I got a CLUNK as the TV tllted. In my case, it was because the set screws on the very bottom of the mount, that are almost up again the wall that you need the hex wrench to tighten were TOO SHORT. I went the the hardware store to get 1" screws (the ones provided were a little longer than 1/2". I could only find 3/4" black screws at my store. Those took care of the CLUNK, but there is still a little play when moving side-to-side. Get 2 longer screws. Take one of those set screws into the hardware store and get a 1" version or at least a 3/4" version of the same type.
