QuestionWill this work to convert the DVI output on my computer to an HDMI input on a monitor, with an hdmi cable. Can I run dual monitors in extended configuration with one monitor plugged into the converted DVI port and the other on the native hdmi port?

- Answer I’m answering my own question here, but yes it works a so hoped it would. I am now running two monitors in extended mode. One monitor from the dvi port with hdmi adapter and the second from the built-in hdmi.

- Answer DVI does not include audio; it is only a video signal. A separate mic (or optical) cable must be used to carry the audio signal

- Answer Yes, you should have no problem. You need coax cables for sound though.

- Answer If you have a HDMI output from your computer a dvi female port it will work, but not with a vga port.

- Answer NO! If your computer has an DVI connector, this device WILL NOT work. You probably require the older DVI-to-HDMI connector that is a little larger than this one.
