A:AnswerThat's because it is ONLY for Samsung products. Is your LG MHL ready/compatible? If it is, it should work. Maybe have to turn on/change settings on phone.
A:AnswerCouldn't get this to work on my LG G4. Returned to store.
No setting in phone to maybe somehow turn on MHL out,
The G4 is supposed to be MHL out compatible.
I seen somewhere a Slimport adapter is required to do this....but I believe its the same thing .Non or Oui
It charged my phone though.
If anyone gets theirs to work please post a how to....
A:AnswerIf your trying to hook up to TV the rocketfish adapter works good or you can get the Chromecast and it will mirror your screen to the TV. Also with the Chromecast its wireless to the TV. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerI thought my s5 and tablet didn't work with this, but I realized I didn't have the plug with adapter pushed all the way in. Even when I thought I did, I pushed harder and it worked. Hope this is helpful.
A:AnswerIm not 100% but I think the lg devices only need a micro hdmi adaptor. Mhl is for Samsung's. My nexus doesn't need the adaptor. It only uses a micro hdmi w/o mhl
A:AnswerSimple answer the MHL technology was not design to work with non-HDMI connection. I did have a Samsung S4 too and it works better on it's own Samsung MHL 2.0 or higher. It seems you're trying to mix from old with new technology - Try to explore your option with ChromeCast wireless device with your Samsung S4 too, or any older devices too.
A:AnswerSearch the manufacturers website to see if your device is MHL friendly. I would recommend using the chromecast device if you are running kit kat or higher.
Also downloading the vlc app would help with video playback since some codec aren't supported by many Samsung models as previous were.
