• You can use the battery cover that comes with the controller. It doe not come with a cover.

• yes, the original battery cover can be used, but it is a little difficult at first. it just comes with the battery pack and nothing else.

• If it's difficult to insert, you're doing it wrong. Make sure the + and - symbols on the battery line up to the corresponding + and - symbols on the controller.

• Your original battery cover from your Microsoft controller can be used with no problem. You may need to snap it on rather than sliding it on, but it fits great.
