QuestionWill this work though drywall? I was thinking of mounting the speakers on the finished side of my basement and placing the transmitter just behind the wall (where the rear speakers will be placed) in the unfinished side of my basement.

- Answer Hello. I would think it should. However, Bose tend to make their products so that they can only be used with other Bose items. You may have to cut and splice the cables to connect to the transmitter.

QuestionMy Yamaha receiver has sensitive protection circuitry to protect against even slight speaker impedance mismatches. The impedance of the transmitter inputs are not listed anywhere that I can see. What is the input impedance of the transmitter?

QuestionDo you have to use both channels for the product to work? Only my right rear channel needs to be wireless because it crosses a walkway and is elevated.

- Answer It automatically connects. Turn on the sending unit, then turn on the receiver and they should connect automatically if the are in range.

- Answer Yes - you are connecting to the output of the AV receiver so the decode happens within the receiver. Any decoded surround sound is then sent through via surround left and or surround right.

- Answer In theory yes, but if your receiver is just as close to the speakers, direct wiring would be the better option.
