It depends on exactly how small your space is. I have a 40 inch and its big but the right size big so you may like it. If not then try a 32 inch.

I have both the 40" and 43" and they do seem larger than I need, especially the 43", I can mount it farther away but it will have to be a wall mount for the 43". The 40", I replaced a 32 in my bedroom because I couldn't read the settings and channel information. I can see it much better, but no option to mount it further away. I guess everyone is doing wall mounts, most of the time that is too far away to read for me anyway. So I just have to accept the luxury of the larger TV. Hope this helps.
