Do you have to have Roku to get Hulu? null

Hello Nancy, Hulu will be on mostly all new smart TVs, Roku is simply the operating system of the TV much like windows or Apple. Through Roku you can download the Hulu App and with your Hulu Subscription watch any content they have to offer.

No you don't have to have a Roku account to use the the TV as you would any smart TV.
