Roku offers a Premier Plus and a Roku Ultra which are 4K compatible, and will only work with compatible 4K content. So all channels may not offer compatible 4k content, and some that do may require a subscription or other fee. The Express works without subscriptions and allows you to search across channels. The Express also doesn't have voice commands. The other two models offer more types of wireless connectivity, and the Ultra offers micro SD and USB storage options.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought the Roku to use it with my SlingBox in NJ, I am in PA. I needed it because the 4K TV I bought did not have an APP for SlingBox. The salesperson knew I had a 4K Samsung TV so he gave me the 4K Roku. When I got it home I could not hook up to the SlingBox. Please hang in there with a little side story / feedback. So I called the store and the person said it was impossible to phone fix the problem. Even after I told him that it is possible to phone fix issues because I have done it for work the pass 40 years. So I thanked him and hung up. I called your store south of me and they sent me to the Geek Squad call center, which the first person should have done. Tammy from KY (if I remember the state) asked me some questions, we tried a few things and she did her homework on line and she found out SlingBox does not work with the 4K Roku. So I returned the 4X and got the lesser model of the Roku and hooked it up. It work as it should and that is why I downgraded to the Roku Express from the Roku 4K thanks to Tammy phone fixing my issue. I am sure the first person was busy and I know it was almost closing time for the store so he might not have had time to help me, but telling me you can't phone fix an issue was just STUpid. The store in Easton PA and Tammy in the KY call center save the day.
