The Express and Express+ are lower-power processors. One will notice a performance lag with those compared to a quad core processor Roku. They are budget models. Personally, my experience has been that the 3600-series Roku sticks can work better with weaker wifi signals than the Express does. I think the quad core helps there. ymmv. The 3600-series Roku Stick and the Premier series and the Ultra have a quad core processor. The differences between the quad core Rokus are features. Some have ethernet or can accept a memory card or have a different type of remote control. See the Roku site's comparison chart, as another contributor pointed out.
