Hello Foofie! The Roku Streambar is a two in one, a soundbar and streaming player in one. This would replace your current Roku. All you need to do ic connect your Streambar into the power source and the HDMI ARC on your TV. If your TV doesn't have an HDMI ARC port you can plug into a regular HDMI port and an optical port. The Roku Streambar remote will be the one to controll it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I also have an LG tv and use Roku. This streambar has an amazing amplifier, shakes my windows when I turn it up all the way, and even though my wife complains about the volume it has no distortion at full volume. It comes with a remote and has USB, HDMI and optical inputs. I believe you will need to use the remote it comes with.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I did not plug the Roku Streambar into my LG tv but the smart tv I did plug into has a HDMI plug labeled ARC. The ARC automatically will set the audio output to the Streambar.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Roku streaming hardware is built into the Roku speaker. Thus, when you connect the speaker to the TV with an HDMI cable you will have full Roku streaming functionality. When following the onscreen prompts after connecting the speaker the Roku remote will pair with your TV so that the TV will turn on and off with the Roku remote, allow for volume control and the selection of streaming apps and Roku settings. But to change the TV input or change things like video settings (color, sharpness, brightness, etc.) you would need to use the OEM TV remote.
