Hello Jimthrope, The main difference between these two soundbars is that the Streambar Pro comes with the Roku operating system built in, turning your non-smart TV into a smart TV. Whereas for the 9301r does not have the operating system built in and is made to only work with TVs that have the Roku OS built in.

The Roku functionality in both is identical, as are the connection options (HDMI and optical audio). Another key difference is that the basic Streambar only comes with a basic remote, while the Pro comes with a Pro remote (Bluetooth connected, voice controls, and a headphone jack for private listening). Both are expandable into full 5.1 surround sound with Roku's wireless speakers and subwoofers.
