It works either way. It is recommended to use AC power for more reliable operation.

Either way. USB port on TV will power it, or plug into AC adapter that comes with it. I've had no problem. Depending on where your USB and HDMI are located you might want to get a flexible adapter. They are inexpensive.

It must be plugged into AC power to work. The power port is similar to the one used to charge a android phone so it might be able to plug into a computer or outside charging source but overall it needs an external power source outside of the TV.

It's powered through the TV but it also come with a AC Power if you don't have a smart T.V.

It is AC powered. It comes with an adapter and USB cable just like a cell phone charger that you plug into the Roku stick to power it.

Love it had one for 4 years. The TV can power it or you can use a Android charger for it. Just do NOT lose the remote even though the remote can be downloaded to your phone. The settings can not be accessed if you lose the remote and need to change the wifi for whatever reason.

If the TV has sufficient power from a USB port it can be powered by the TV. Otherwise, you will need to power it from another, more powerful source like your wall socket. Try your TV first., If it works - great. If it doesn't, you'll find out.
