Other than the obvious, manufacturer. They are very similar but the Fire Stick offers a few more options than the Roku stick. I purchased both and felt that the Fire stick had a siperior user interface and was more aesthetically pleasing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It was my experience that I was not able to add the CBS station with the firestick.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The main differences are the app stores and the apps that they provide. The Fire TV and TV stick are heavily tied to Amazon, and it's selection of apps are not as developed as the Roku. However, the Fire TV stick has the Amazon Alexa voice assistant and control built into the included remote. Roku doesn't include or offer a voice search remote for the Roku stick.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The only thing I would have to say the difference would be the apps you can add to it and software where amazon is there on software and Roku is android.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm sure there's other differences but my big complaint is that Fire won't work with VUDU. Roku is more generic and will handle Amazon Prime just fine and VUDU and most other services.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I realy do not know Roku but use fire stick and I has added an interesting app LATIN CHANNEL which maked a very good convination and entertaiment time
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Fire stick is from Amazon - feature set is pretty similar but I find the Roku slightly easier to use. Still - both pretty good options.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The primary difference is the app selection. https://www.cnet.com/uk/news/fire-tv-stick-vs-chromecast-vs-roku-streaming-stick-battle-of-the-sticks/. I, ultimately, chose the roku and am contemplating between Sling and Playstation Vue to replace the traditional cable television. Ultimately, it will be up to you. I like having a remote versus needing to grab my phone/tablet to stream the next "channel" or app.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The manufacturer. Kinda like Sony vs Samsung
