Roku doesn't do anything with Chromecast and vice versa. But they can definitely both work on the same tv and don't interfere with each other. I use them both with no problems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They essentially do the same thing and would not communicate with each other. Personally I would recommend the Roku over chrome cast. Having a physical remote is a huge plus for me. And the speed on the stick is great, almost no lag. The only upside to chrome cast may be screen mirroring which is still being developed on Roku.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you have another HDMI port unused on your TV, then you can leave your Chromecast plugged in. You would simply tell your TV which HDMI source you want to use - Chromecast or Roku (or cable, satellite, DVD, etc.). Only one of your sources will play through your TV at a time. Each source is independent from the other, so there should not be any interference between them.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just get the kindle fire tv. Its alot better and you can get a app on it to let you watch anything you want. Movies all the way back to 1967
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can use them separately if that's what you mean. They are not intended to be used together. The Roku stick does have some similar features, you can miracast to it from some Android devices and mirror your screen. You can cast from apps like netflix and youtube.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Chrome cast is a separate streaming device. The Roku streaming stick would replace the Chrome cast. I expect the Roku SS is faster than the Chromecast.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on you as the user The chrome cast needs a smart phone or tablet to work The roku does not I hope you buy the roku
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you plan to stream any of your Google Music library to the TV,you should keep the Google cast stick, cuz Roku can't do that. It will cast Google movies, though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They both work independently. One very important thing is that if you are looking to stream online videos browsing random weblinks, then Roku is not the best bet. It has a Beta version of screen sharing, however that did not work for me on my Intel Widi enabled Windows 10 PC. In other words Roku will NOT be able to replace Chromecast. I have both devices and they serve different purpose for me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, the Roku streaming stick is not compatible with Chromecast.
