If you live in a big metro area as Los Angeles Helen’s you can use an inside antenna and pick up about 20 to 40 channels. An outside antenna works much better giving you a clear he local lineup. Once you start streaming you will find a variety of apps with their own unique content. You can op to get Hulu or utube or there are others with good pricing and content with a free trial period so that you may decide, which offer great service with the local my more reasonable priced then cable or the dish type services. I have Hulu and it’s 82.00 a month I tried u tube which had also gyrations programming and 10.00cheaper but no history channel, so I stayed with Hulu. you will need a good internet connection with good wireless equipment. Once you have the Roku stick you have endless access to content and choices. Honestly I have a Roku all four rooms one of which is a Roku tv and we really enjoy our entertainment much more as we can allacarte what we want when we want. Buy it you won’t be unhappy once you get used to the different apps and guides. You spend more on going out to dinner than this stick costs. You have nothing to loose and a whole world of content to enjoy. Regards
