This actually depends on the strength of your router, but the ideal setup (as you probably know) is as close as possible. I use an extender for my 3-story home -- that way I can access the internet on the top floor or in the garage without the annoying buffering issue. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It all depends on a few things. what is in between your router and TV, what is the initial speed of your internet, and what type of router you have. The more walls, trees, floors, or any other obstructions the worse the signal will be. The nicer the router the farther it will project Wi-Fi. The faster the internet the farther away you can be.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Generally within the same building will work fine unless you are going through lots of cement walls. The Roku WILL tell you the signal strength whether good or bad
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have a Roku streaming stick in the same room, one in a room about 30 feet away, and one on the 2nd floor from the router. All of them work fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My router and TV are on opposite ends of the house and it works fine. I'm running an N strength router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My router is in my bedroom and I've used the Roku stick on both the bedroom TV and the living room TV, which is about 40 ft away, with no noticeable difference.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know the maximum distance, but my wifi modem is on the second story of our home and my Roku/Tv is on the first floor, other side of the house. I'm sure it could go further. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My router is 2 floors away (typical 3 level house) As long as you have a strong signal on a phone, tablet, computer where the TV is located..youll be fine. If you want, you can get an HDMI extension cable to move the ROKU Stick away from the back of the tv for better reception.
