When you purchase a Roku Streaming device, there is no monthly fee to connect and use it. Roku will require you to create an account online, and will request credit card information to be kept on file because though the Roku service is free, it also contains connections to other paid services that you may want to subscribe to. The Roku Ultra is great because it offers many free channels along with others you can pay for if you'd like to. Hope this helps!

No, all Roku devices provide easy access to free TV, live news, sports, movies, and more, so you can be confident that you won’t miss a thing. If you wish to access premium streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, or Disney+ through the Roku device, you must pay a separate subscription fee to the platform you choose. The choice of what to watch and pay for is up to you. We like to call it TV on your terms.
