• The TV screen is measured diagonally so 65 inches is from top left to bottom right. The width is usually 57-59 inches

• Hi Margie, That's the largest size of TV we recommend for the stand. The stand itself is 58" wide, but can support TV's up to 65". A TV that large would have a little bit of overhang, but still will fit. Let us know if you have any other questions!
