• A:Answer Yes, it comes with a little voucher with which you can visit their website and download the software (fair warning and when you're using the voucher it notifies you as well), you can only download the file one time off of their site. So if you can have a flash drive or a folder you know you won't accidentally delete ready so if anything happens and you need to reinstall, you have the file.

• A:Answer I did a test to make sure of my answer. The mic appears to be directional. When the power light side is facing me, the sound is good, as I turn the mic to face the light away from me, the sound diminished.

Q: QuestionSamson Meteor USB Microphone: Is it compatible with Acer 14 Chromebook CB3-431 ?

• A:Answer Not familiar with Acer Chromebook, but my Samsung does not have a USB-A (full size) port which is required for the Meteor microphone. However, I purchased and am using a Belkin USB-D adapter which has two USB ports and I have had no difficulties connecting other external USB devices, flash drives, key boards, etc. I'd contact Acer and ask the question, because if you need an external microphone I highly recommend the Meteor. I started leaning into the mike, but then slowly started leaning back. I now sit comfortably in my office chair and the microphone picks up fine. And it looks cool sitting on my desk. Good luck, I hope the adapter solves the problem.

• A:Answer I can't speak for PC's, but I plugged it into my mac and it was immediately recognized, and works flawlessly! All I had to do was go to the input settings and select it as an input source. I've had no issues getting it to work on my mac. From many videos I've watched about this microphone, it seems like it should work just as well on a PC.
