Yes, I was able to unzip the backpack and run it through the X-ray machine on multiple trips and never had any issues with TSA asking me to remove the laptop from the compartment. That being said, I could see a TSA agent having a bad day require you to remove your laptop and put it in a tray any ways.

yes. tsa approved. it has a protective pocket for your computer however if you’re not tsa pre-check, you still need to remove your computer.
