I have a slightly emotional response which helps no one but may make me feel better. As with most emotional responses. What downright idiotic team of engineers would design a kitchen device with a darkly lettered keypad and not provide additional back lighting? Unless a penny pinching profit penchant accountant purposely plucked the panel’s luminescence for paydirt pacification. There. Better.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is the worst keypad in the history of microwaves. The engineering team were obviously drunk or just stupid. Not only is the keypad too dark to see in most conditions, it is impossible to clean the keypad without turning a bunch of features on... like the fan or presets or almost anyting on the keypad. This is too touch sensitive to be practicle. The keypad gets the tiniest amount of grease on it and it takes forever to clean it. Thanks Samsung for being dim, like your keypad
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, it doesn't, who would design a microwave without an illuminated keypad is beyond me, guess you have to bring your flashlight with you or turn on all the kitchen lights to illuminate the keypad. Remember common sense is not always common.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi mark, We appreciate your question about the keypad of the microwave if it has backlighting. The microwave's keypad is not equipped with lighting. Leo
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I could not find a way to have the control panel's backlight to turn on; only to discover it doesn't exist. If Samsung isn't backlighting the panel, they could at a minimum use legible, brighter print on the panel.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I found out the hard way it does not. This makes it very hard after dark. This is a feature that should definitely be included on a kitchen appliance. I should have known better since my Samsung dryer doesn't have an interior light. Shame on Samsung for cutting features on high dollar household appliances.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No the keypad is not illuminated just the clock.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Terrible design....no illuminated number pad and the door opener is located so unless you are mindful every time, you turn on the fan or the light when opening the door. I'd never buy this one again.
