• Yes it has an interior light. Can see but it is a bit darker than some other brands. Part of a penalty you get for choosing a very classy mirror finish. It is a see through mirror.

• While cooking you are able to see into the microwave. When it's not in use, the door is a mirror. Great if you have chrome appliances around the kitchen area!

• It is a mirror, but you can see the food when it is cooking, but it is obscured. The microwave is so sharp looking that it is only a minor problem and not worth avoiding this microwave, just because you can't see in it that well. What do you need to see anyway? Set it and do something else.
