Please try again later.It's to change the position of the exhaust fan depending on if your home vents directly outside or just recycles the air for odor and moisture control. Instructions to adjust the fan are in the manual and is necessary if your exhaust doesn't go directly outside. It has a charcoal filter and the venting keeps the bottom of the unit dry
