This microwave is designed to install under a standard 12" depth cabinet. The mounting holes are about 10" from the back of the cabinet. If you have face frame cabinets ( not a smooth bottom) you will need a spacer to fit between the cabinet bottom and the top of the microwave at the mounting screw location. A stack of washers would work or a small block of wood.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Thanks for your interest in the ME18H704SFS. This and other Samsung Over The Range Microwaves are designed to be installed under standard cabinets with a depth of 12-13", and the screws and cutouts noted on the mounting templates reflect this. The front of the Microwave is intended to protrude from the cabinets both to protect the cabinets from the grease and steam from the cook top, as well as to allow room for the hidden vent to exhaust back into the room from the top front edge of the Microwave. - Ms. Samsung
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it comes with a template that you can put under the upper cabinet and also you can find the template online and make sure it fits
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I WOULD CONTACT THE INSTALLER, HOWEVER I REPLACED THE OLD MICROWAVE. THEY ADDED ADDITIONAL HOLES WHICH ARE NOT NOTICIABLE BECAUSE THE MICROWAVE IS FLUSHED ON THE TOP WITH CABINET . THE MICROWAVE DOES STICK OUT OVER THE STOVE MORE THAN THE OLD MICROWAVE WHICH IS GREAT BECAUSE THE VENT ABSORBS MORE GREASE AND STEAM..Samsung - 1.8 Cu. Ft. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes ,mine is mounted on a 12 inch cabinet and the template has adjustments for that the front protrudes about 3 inches but it looks great with the matching Samsung oven.
