This chromebook can be hooked up to a big screen TV by connecting its HDMI "out" port to the HDMI "in" port of the TV using an HDMI cable, readily available at BestBuy or many other places for about $10. This chromebook can stream sports via an app that you choose for that purpose; the app can be downloaded free or purchased from the Google Play Store. A Windows 10 laptop can be obtained at BestBuy right now for only about $10 more than this chromebook, and you can connect it to your TV the same way, and streaming apps might be more readily available, depending on which one you want to use. You may not even need a laptop for streaming sports to your big screen TV. You can accomplish that with a device like the Roku streaming stick, which attaches to an HDMI port on your TV, and uses your internet connection to stream, as do both the chromebook and the Windows 10 laptop. The Roku streaming stick may only cost you $20-$25 or so, and sports streaming services such as Netflix or Fubo range in cost from about $10 per month to about $50 per month. You would have to pay these monthly rates if you bought the chromebook or the Windows 10 laptop, each of which will cost you over $100. Choose wisely. Happy streaming!
