Hi slee! Samsung does not recommend removing the ice maker as it is built in to the internal design of the refrigerator. However, we do have several refrigerator options that come without an ice maker. ^Jecca

I know for a fact that lots of refrigerators come without Ice Makers and you can purchase the right one for the refrigerator you have if it is one that will accept an ice maker and install it in less than 45 minutes. So with all that said, yes. Yes you can remove the Ice Maker. I would simply google the model number and find instructions on how to install and or even uninstall an Ice Maker.
