FOR BRODY. REMOVE THE OPTIC PLASTIC PROTECTIVE COVER AND THE CORD WILL SNAP IN VERY EASY. THERE IS NO INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS. I FOUND OUT LIKE YOU.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think HDMI-ARC is the ideal connection. It allows one to control the sound bar using the TV remote. I could not do this using the optical connection, regarding which I had another problem. The optical cable would not snap into place on the sound bar connector. I could only "wedge" it into place, just long enough to test it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Because of the ability to carry sound and hi def video, I recommend a HDMI cable. If you have a Samsung smart TV, it should connect to your tv wirelessly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just purchased my Samsung 450 soundbar last night and the best buy associate Dalton at the highland,in. Store seemed very knowledgeable and showed a lot of patience as I'm old school when it comes to electronics he told me the best way to hook up your t.v.to the soundbar is to use the HDMI cable over the fiber optic cable it's a very easy set up as well with pairing your Bluetooth devices phone,tablet.etc.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.HDMI from all components (Apple TV/Fire TV/ DVD/BluRay Player/Xbox, etc) directly to TV. Optical Digital from TV to soundbar. In TV menu change speakers from internal/TV to optical digital/Toslink. That will get you your unadulterated Dolby Digital feed from all components. Works like a charm!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you have a 4K TV you lose 4K resolution hooking up HDMI to Soundbar then to TV, Samsung doesn't tell you this Soundbar does not support 4K pass-through
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Connect it by Optical fed from your TV. Very clean sound and less chance of having voice syncronizing issues
