The subwoofer can be placed inside a cabinet, but I feel you would get better action sound clarity if let out. Hope this helps!

From what I understand about subwoofers, they do well in corners etc but if the cabinet is just barely bigger than the subwoofer I think it would negatively affect sound and result in vibration. The subwoofer should have space around it, including the back. I have mine under a bed that has drawers on one side, open space on the other - in that open space with a wall behind it and next to it, it sounds quite nice.

For clear dialogue I would recommend you look for a Samsung sound bar with a minimum of 3.1ch due to the direct center channel being used for dialogue.
