QuestionDoes this microwave need to be vented? Can I install without a top vent?

- Answer NO - it does not HAVE to be vented - read the specs. I am having this installed today. It is convertible - meaning it can be installed in a way where the venting goes through the filter (which comes with it) and back into the room. OR, it can be vented. EITHER.

QuestionLove the microwave but the little LEDs are not bright enough to see the range top well, even on the high setting. Are there any replacement light modules that would be brighter?

- Answer I don't think so -- what they need to do is ADD another light or 2 so you can see across the entire range top. I have complained to Samsung about that too.

QuestionCan any over the range microwave first be used as a countertop unit? We are in the middle of kitchen renovation and our old unit died. Not a fan of buying a counter top unit by itself unless it can be installed over the range. Thank You

- Answer Well, there is an exhaust vent on the bottom, and it bulges out a bit. So if you place it on a flat surface, the microwave will be a little uneven and unstable. I'd suggest putting a cloth under the microwave so it maintains its balance. Other than that, if you have the space, I don't see any reason not to use it on a countertop. Just make sure its stable.

QuestionOnly had for less than 3mos and microwave stopped working. without using it, i heard lots of beeps going off and then a SE code. Unplugged and reset and NOTHING. What is the warranty on this. I have barely used it...I'm so not impressed.

- Answer Yes there is one - I use it regularly .. look in the manual I think it’s called cook timer. You maybe confused it with how long you are cooking for but it’s the timer
