My fridge's door alarm is not beeping, why? null

My sensor that tells you your door is open too long is no longer working. What could be the cause of that

My alarm never worked even though the indicator light was on, then one day I decided to turn it off, the indicator light went out and I left the door open, about 2 minutes later the alarm went off, go figure!!

I can't hear mine either. My wife can. The alarm frequency is apparently in a frequency range that my hearing aids can't pick up.

I am certain that the issue with mine is that the door pushes closed and disarms the alarm but does not push closed enough for the seal to activate. Meaning that it looks closed when you walk by by doesn’t seal, so all the food (at least at the front is defrosted) when you next go to get something, usually the next day.

There is a door alarm that can be heard if a refrigerator door is left open too long. The alarm function can be turned off, if so desired.

The Door Alarm feature in the RF23J9011SR can be turned on and off by pressing the corresponding button on the control panel. Thanks for the question, Ms. Samsung
