It does not have a headphone jack. That jack on the back that some think is a headphone jack is merely an analog audio output. It's designed to feed an amplifier. The audio-output is a fixed level, and therefore not affected by the TV's volume control. You will need a headphone amplifier for it to drive headphones at any usable level. You can hear audio through headphones if you plug them into the audio output jack, but only a a low volume and with no ability to control volume. This was a foolish change by Samsung to eliminate the headphone jack. Many people buy a small TV to view programming personally, such as in a dorm-room, dental office, infusion center, or retirement home. They need a headphone jack to view it privately. It's too bad Samsung doesn't realize that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has an audio out jack. You can use headphones with their own in-line volume control, plug them into the audio out jack, turn the tv volume all the way down or on mute, and listen to the tv through the headphones (controlling the volume with the headphone's volume control).. I did this, and it works just fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has two audio output jacks, one analog and one digital. I plugged my headphones that have an inline volume control and was able to control the volume just fine that way. You will have to either mute the TV volume or turn it all the way down so no sound comes out of the T.V. I am very happy with this T.V.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The best reason there is no head phone jack is that all Wireless headphones ( do not confuse with Wi-Fi wireless headphones that use a different system) have their own headphone amplifier and volume control built in. So, the BEST answer to this question is simply buy a set of wireless head phones and you are good to go ! You will hook up the headphones to the RCA jacks marked audio output. I hope this helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes there is a headphone jack on the back of the TV . You need to use the menu on the TV to turn off the built in speakers. The jack only provides a fixed volume so you can not adjust it with the TV volume control when using headphones.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine has an "audio out" jack. This is not the same as a headphone jack as the volume cannot be controlled. You can however hook up headphones to the audio out jack and use an inline volume control (either a separate item or one that is on a set of earbuds/headphones) to control the volume of the TV. This is the most cost effective way I have found. The Auvio Inline Volume control from Radio Shack (Best Buy did not carry one??) was $10 and worked perfectly.
