As others have indicated, this unit does not have a heated dry. Strictly speaking, a heated dry requires an exposed heating element at the bottom of the dishwasher. You'll often see a ring near the spinners. Many Whirlpools and Frigidaires do have this option but it is not energy efficient. Many companies like Samsung and Bosch have taken to a condensation dry where the heat from the cycle is retained by the stainless steel interior, coupled with a venting system to remove excess moisture. This process can take longer to complete and you may find some moisture in "pools" such as upside down cups. This process is an even heating and also allows you to place plastic on the bottom where a conventional heating element might melt plastic. This allows for more flexible loading. Condensations dry does also require more time as it is essentially moving less energy per minute versus a heated dry. Depending on how quickly you would like your dishes done, a heated dry might not be the best option if you need them completely dry, very quickly. However, it will save you money and if you run your dishes over night should not present a problem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought this dish washer and I have to dry most of the dishes by hand once it’s finished cleaning them! If your wAnt a dish washer that drys your dishes, Don’t get this one!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The research I did on this unit indicated there is NOT a heated dry cycle. I have since purchased the unit and the machine gets the water so hot that the drying seems to still be warm, and the dishes aren't wet when the cycle is done. There is no heating element inside the dishwasher, but as long as a drying agent/rinse aid is used and the door remains shut until the cycle is completely done, the dishes are dry and spotless.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It technically doesn't have a heated dry cycle. The sanitize feature serves that purpose. I use the sanitize feature every time I run the dishwasher. It doesn't get the dishes completely dry but pretty close. Only a few inverted cups and glasses will need a towel to dab them dry.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Thanks for your interest in the DW80J3020US. This and other Samsung Dishwashers use Condensation Drying Technology to dry the dishes without a heated cycle to help save energy. The Dishwashers do have hidden heating elements, but they're used to help boost the water temperature as needed, not for drying the dishes. - Ms. Samsung
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has a way for you to turn extra dry heat on or off. I find when I use the sanitize option and wait to unload the dishes (to cool off), my dishes are very dry.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.LG unit ($1000) doesn't have heating element and even following manufacturer's instructions, dishes and unit does not dry. I could have bought a less-sexy machine for 1/2 the money that does the ENTIRE job. Sales Rep might have mentioned the lack of drying function. Bye bye Best Buy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, but it doesn't dry very well. Also, there is no option to by-pass the drying cycle, which might be an issue if you are washing items that might lose their shape with the heat. (Like plastic storage containers and plastic drinking bottles.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it does
