The handles protrude from the doors 2.5” so to get the doors to a 90 degree opening you would need to allow an additional 2.5” on either side. That assumes you are putting it into a space that has a wall that extends past 48” depth as the handles are 48” from the back of the refrigerator with the doors at 90 degrees. The doors themselves need an extra 1/2” on both sides for opening room.

The dimension I needed was shown in the owner's manual - 1-5/8 inches beyond the side of the unit is the room needed to get the doors open 90 degrees; unless the obstacle (wall) extends far enough to hit the door handle - in that case you'll need 4-1/8 inches.
