“lock function , what is it our new Samsung refrigerator RF260B has a lock device located between the crispers, no where in the manual does it describe this function as to how to use it or what it locks. Any hints?”

Thanks for your question. The device that's located between the crisper drawers in the RF260BEAESR is the water filter. You'll need to twist it to unlock and remove the cartridge when it's time to replace it, as indicated by the Filter Indicator light on the control panel.
