Questionmy ice maker will not make ice what can I check to make sure its working properly>

- Answer Check to see if the ice off function is illuminated on the front of the freezer door ? Did you run several gallons of water through the water lines. You may have air in the lines therfore no ice. There is a test button which is visible after you pull the ice tray out. I had to run this before the tray would fill with water. Hope this helps

QuestionFreezer temperatureMy freezer temperature ranges from 0 to -20 with no manual changes to the setting; and the setting is set low (at the 2nd bar). Do I need to have to have it repaired? I purchased it Oct 2013.

- Answer Thank you for the question. Since the RS261MDBP uses a bar-style display to regulate the temperature, it would be interesting to know what type of thermometer you're using to measure the temperature in your freezer, and where you're placing it. The temperature can vary from one location to another, and the placement of household thermometers may not be the most accurate way to check the temperature in your freezer. I would suggest calling 888-BEST BUY or 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who can help determine whether service will be necessary to determine if your cooling system or control panel are functioning properly. Questionlevelingdoes this unit have front and back legs for leveling. My old fridge only has front and you have to set it out of plumb for the door to close correctly .I am installing new cabinets and enclosing the fridge and would like to know if I will have to do the same with this unit. It will look like the cabinet is out of plumb . Do you have any suggestions . Thank You

- Answer I have a rental property, and I had that same problem recently with a smaller frig, which was also a Samsung. I don't know if this model has front and back adjusts, since I didn't install it, but the other did not. Good luck.

- Answer The RS261MDBP is rated for AC115V 60Hz and 11.6 Amps. While I cannot tell you the draw during particular cycles, I can tell you that Samsung refrigerators draw between 0.8 and 4.3 Amps depending on exactly what cycle is active. Thank you for the question, Ms. Samsung

QuestionIs there a piece that can be connected to the outside ice dispenser?Ice "spits" out all over the floor. It would seem that there should be a device that would help eleviate this issue. It is a very nice refrigerator but the ice thing is rather annoying. It there some sort of catch device that could be attached?

- Answer i don't know if there is something that can be attached to the ice dispenser, but i tip my glass so that the outside of the glass is over the ice shoot, so that ice will not fall on the floor.

- Answer I believe that we had to buy the extra attachment for the refridgerator, but it seems like it was only about a $20 addon and after paying that much for a refrigerator $20 wasn't going to stop me from having ice in the door. I'm pretty sure that it came with the filter though. We have had it for 1 year now and the filter alert light has just turned on so they last quite a while.
