Well since I just went through this myself if you have a samsung model RF28R7201SR you can purchase part. #DA97-17299E dispenser cover and install it and you will have an operational light for the disenser. Yes it works because i just did it and Samsung told me i had to buy the door. But I had found a post on Samsung members about this but Samsung deleted anything pertaining to this issue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can verify this is true but can be solved by doing what this post says. Samsung states that refrigerators of model RF28R7201SR have been produces without dispenser lights since January of 2023 whichvis true. Samsung also refuses to fix this issue. The solution is to buy a new dispenser cover that includes the light and replace it yourself. The Samsung part number for this is DA97-17299E for approx $150 to $175 brand new really don't understand why Samsung is not willing to own this issue and help getting it resolved. Now I just did this and it works fine. Also Samsung will tell you that you need to buy the left door complete in order for it to work but thats a lie. Now the company I bought my fridge from credited me $150 sonce their site says the refrigerator does have the light which is wrong, probably because it use to come with the light but I assume their system just hasn't been updated since Samsung made the production change
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you hold the lock when the light is on it will stay on
