Geek Squad appliance specialist came out and did his best to fix my door problem. The technician 1) called before he came, 2) was right on time, 3) was very knowledgable, and 4) even wore shoe protectors in the house. (I was impressed). He corrected the height of the top right door (for the top to line up with the left door) and confirmed that the refrigerator was level, but agreed with me that there was no adjustment to align the gap (between the two top doors) or to adjust the right door from automatically closing when it was fully open. (Page 15 in the manual only refers to using shims to raise the right door height, and there is no mention of using an allen wrench for any adjustment). Having gallons of milk on the door did not affect the problem. However, technician's work did lessen the problem. Afterwards I further adjusted the level and glued a tiny piece of foam near the top hinge contact point of the right door to create some gentle resistance. Problem solved, but not per the manual. (In summary, as appliances get more sophisticated in features, the skill sets of the installers needs to keep up. Oh, by the way, did I mention that the this was my third delivered refrigerator for my purchase, because the first two showed up with big dents on the front doors?) But regarding the refrigerator, we are very happy with it! (And even though it took some patience, Best Buy / Pacific Kitchen did a good job of taking care of me).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The adjustments, that affect the door adjustment, are at the bottom of the unit. The professional-installers, had to lay on the ground, on their backs/side & adjust whatever mechanisms, that control door-gaps (either increasing/decreasing gap) & the alignment in terms of vertical-alignment too. It took one installer to make the adjustments on the ground & another installer to tell him, when the gaps were acceptable & or even. Not a one-person job!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We had the exact problem, but 2nd set of delivery/ hook up guys saw it immediately and fixed the problem. This is a delivery team problem and can be fixed by leveling doors, something that was fixed in less than 1 minute w an electric screwdriver. Btw first team of delivery guys so inept, we almost returned fridge. They couldn't even find water line for icemaker.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Thanks for the question. Please refer to the instructions on page 15 of the User Manual for adjusting the gap between the doors using the supplied allen wrench or fastener (c-clip), or both. These parts should have come with your Refrigerator, but if they're missing, please call 800-SAMSUNG to speak with an agent who will be happy to assist you. - Ms. Samsung
