There are no particular recommendation of what to place/not place in the Pedestal, though they're designed with detergent and other fabric care items in mind. The heat from the Dryer should not transfer, at least not to a significant degree. It's possible that water could make its way inside since the Pedestals are not water-tight, but not likely. That said, I wouldn't suggest storing delicate or valuable items in the Pedestals because it's not what they're designed for. - Ms. Samsung
