QuestionI have a 65 in Sony tv and wondered if this soundbar would work well on my Sony.

- Answer Yes...If you set the following settings...otherwise the system will seem to be under performing UNLESS you have an amplifying device between the speakers and TV. First - set the soundbar BASS setting to +6 and MOVIE. The go into the TV settings...sounds...expert settings...equalizer and max out the woofer setting. Then go into HDMI input audio format and set it to PCM. This means the sound received has already been decoded by the sending device; Set the Digital output format to DTS Neo 2:5. If you have the Samsung UHD BlueRay player - set its output to PCM as well. That means it does all decoding before sending sound to the sound bar. Your speakers and especially the woofer should be rocking and rolling now. You will now be blown away by the Blueray movie sound as well.

QuestionI bought this unit a couple days ago and it has very little bass. I have gone over the manual and done all step by step as in the manual. I called Samsung and they said to get good bass watch a movie with a lot of explosions. Movie soundtracks? No bass.

- Answer Hi all. I was displeased at first..until i hooked it to my phone via Bluetooth and it really bumped! Here is what youve gotta do: You need to use the hdmi cord (arc port) instead of included optical. Then mess with the settings on the TV audio. For newer Samsung TV, go to sound, exper settings, set hdmi input to Pcm, digital output to dts neo 2.5 will get you booming.

QuestionI just bought this Samsung - 3.1 -Channel Soundbar System. The remote volume button only goes to Mute or Vol. 20. Can't turn it up or down. Why? Is it becuz that remote isn't synced to my Time Warner remote yet? Or something else?

- Answer The volume button is tricky - don't press down on it like a button; it's really a toggle switch. Place your thumb below the "button" and push it UP to increase the volume or DOWN to decrease it. I thought the same thing until we figured it out.

QuestionWill this work if we don't have an optical input in the back of TV? It's a 2015 55" Hitachi smart tv, but there are only HDMI and USB slots. we really need more sound and I want to order this, but don't know if we have the right setup for it.

- Answer You can connect the HDMI ARC port on the TV to the HDMI Out port of the soundbar. That the best way. Its more better than Optical as HDMI passes more audio types than optical.

QuestionI bought this a week ago and when hook up hdmi to direct tv 4K mini it says my tv is not 4K compatible. Is this sound bar not the 2.2 compatible. Also my base on my sub isn’t very loud any hints. Ty

- Answer This Soundbar is not capable of 4K/HDR passthrough so your tv won’t register 4K content without being directly hooked up to the source material. You may have to use the optical cable to be able to watch 4K content while having the sound from the bar. Also I have read several articles about the bass and I guess you have to go into your tv settings as well as turn up the bass on sub to +6. If you change your tv settings after that, you should be able to get more bass out of it. Just look up tv settings for bass for the Soundbar and you should get a few articles about it. Hope this helps out!!

QuestionMy Samsung TV doesn't have an HDMI ARC port, only HDMI ports (4) and an HDMI/DIV port. I tried using the HDMI ports but it won't work. I tried the optical cable and it work. Are HDMI ARC ports for new TV sets only?

- Answer Older TV won't necessarily have the HDMI ARC connection. I have an older Samsung that I had an old Samsung soundbar hooked to via the optical cable. It worked fine. I could adjust volume with TV remote. My TV has HDMI ports but the are not HDMI ARC ports. So I hooked it up with the optical cable again. The result is the soundbar works but I no longer can control the sound with my TV remote. Checked with support and in order to control via TV remote, I have to have HDMI ARC port.

QuestionI have the samsung hw-m550 za sound bar with wire less sub. All is paired up solid blue light. Have sub volume as high as possible +6 however there is minimal bass from it. Have rear speakers as well. I like bass will the swa700 sub work with this bar?

- Answer I was displeased at first too..until i hooked it to my phone and it bumped! Here is what you gotta do: You need to use the hdmi cord instead of included optical. Then mess with the settings on the TV audio. Pcm and dts neo 2.5 will get you booming.

QuestionMy soundbar has to be turned up really high in order for the subwoofer to be heard. The subwoofer level is set at zero.

- Answer There is a switch on the soundbar remote that enables you to set the volume of the subwoofer. It goes up to six. Set to taste or to what you are watching. I believe the switch is on the right side and it says SW. I am not at home to look at it.

QuestionI bought this sound bar and woofer as an un-boxed item. When I hook it up to my Samsung it automatically increases volume to level 50 after a few minutes. Is it in some sort of display mode?

- Answer The unit does have a display mode called "shop mode", Here's how to turn it off: While the sound bar is powered OFF, press and hold the Vol- (down) button until the display shows SHOP OFF. Hope this helps

QuestionCan you attach two of these together? I have one mounted to my TV (and I already have the wireless rear speakers mounted in that room) in my living room but wanted to buy another for a different room in my home so that the same audio can be heard.

- Answer Hello as a owner of this product the volume shows on the tv as sound bar volume but the settings are on the screen of the sound bar where DIN comes up just push the buttons up and down and it will change the settings. Enjoy

- Answer I am not an expert on these things, but because the music and other sounds we hear today from TV's, iPods, over wi-fi, etc., is mostly digitized an optical connection would likely be the best connection. Optical audio connections should have the lowest sound/quality loss. Your TV, if relatively new, should have an optical output and this sound bar has and optical input.
