Fast boil is a scam. Very frustrating, the element gets red & just when the water is about to boil the element goes black. Over & over. The back burners boil water more quickly
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have read customer comments regarding the same question you are asking. All I can say is mine starts to boil in about the same time as yours. I began putting a lid on it and it did cut the boiling time down by a couple of minutes. I've just learned to live with it. All I can say is Samsung says that it SHOULD boil in two minutes. The word "should" is a wide open interpretation and covers Samsung's behind. I love my stove/oven. Had it for 2 years and works great. Except for fast boil. I just learned to compromise...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is frustrating to me as well. I can boil, cook, and mash a pot of potatoes on any of the other elements BEFORE my smaller pot of green beans even comes to a boil on the "fast boil" element.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It boils faster than an older stove. But it still takes several minutes. Do not think it rapidly boils. It is far from that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Could be the elevation...I see that you are in MN and that is a higher elevation than Florida.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Thanks for the question. There is not a specific time measurement available for the "fast boil" since there are so many variables that affect how long it will take for the contents of a pot to boil, including the starting temperature of the water, the surface area of the pot that's in contact with the heating element, the depth of the water, and the material the pot is made from since different materials have different levels of conductivity. What I can tell you is that the Fast Boil elements are designed to boil water up to 6 minutes faster than comparable elements of lesser power. Selecting the largest ring on either the right or the left will help to maximize the element's 3,000 watts of power to the highest "fast boil" level, but the other variables mentioned above will still impact the amount of time it takes for the contents to boil. I would also suggest referring to page 23 of the NE597R0ABSR user manual for a guide to choosing the best cookware for your range in terms of both the size and shape as well as the conductivity of different materials. The manual can be downloaded as a pdf file from Samsung's website for easy reference. Covering the pot while it's heating should also help to speed the process. - Ms. Samsung
