“how long is a typical wash cycle? i'm coming from a very old top loader but ive heard the wash cycles can be quite long in these newer front loaders. any help is appreciated!”

The standard cycle is just over an hour. But if you use the 'quick wash' it's just about 30 minutes. We have found that the quick wash works great for your average load of wash. They come out clean and smelling great.

Please try again later.Our previous GE front load washer would take about an hour for the following settings: Load Size = Medium-Large Water = Tap/Cold Soil Level = Normal Spin Speed = High Prewash = No Extra Rinse = No With the Samsung, it is taking about 2 hours with above condition. But the cycle time does shorten with a lighter load. So it must have some sort of built-in scale to determine the size of the load and adjusts accordingly.

I had one about 13 years ago with the same problems. I didn’t buy this one. It came with the house. The quick cycle takes about an hour or more. I was told by a repair man to stay away from the computerized machines because it is the computer that breaks down first.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.On the normal cycle its 47 minutes. If u choose xtra soiled or one of the allergy setting it takes over an hour. This machine is super quiet! We had an old set also and u will be amazed the improvements the have made over the years!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I my experience the wash cycles vary with the settings you choose and the load size. For example the sanitize setting with a larger load can take up to 2 1/2 hours; whereas the normal cycle with an average load is done in about 45-50 minutes.
