“Is it supposed to agitate so slowly? I have been using this washer for a week. It agitates so slowly I wonder if it is working properly. I realize the side to side tumbling action is supposed to gently clean clothes, however, I think hand washing would be more effective with the cleaning process. It moves as if it is rocking a baby to sleep, very gently. The The spin cycle works fine. I previously owned two different Maytag top load washers and they moved a bit faster.”

Thanks for the question. Samsung HE top load washers, including your WA422, use low-profile pulsators to gently move the clothes rather than agitators. While the pulsator motion may not be as visible or as fast, it should be highly effective in getting the clothes clean. If you're finding the clothes aren't as clean as they should be, please review the troubleshooting information in the user manual and be sure to use only the recommended amount of HE detergent and load the clothes as instructed. - Ms. Samsung
