The WF448AAP measures 27" wide by 39" high by 32" deep, and requires only enough room for the water hoses and connection. The dryer measures are 27" wide by 39" high by 31-1/4" deep, and the total depth needed depends on how you intend to set up the venting, and whether the location has adequate ventilation. If so, and you plan to vent from behind, you'll need approximately 4-5" for the duct, so your 36-1/4" is enough. However, I would suggest downloading a pdf file of the User Manual to familiarize yourself with the ventilation requirements, particularly as they pertain to alcove or closet installations, to make sure your washroom does have sufficient clearance and airflow. You may also want to consider venting the unit from the side or bottom, to reduce the amount of space needed for rear venting, using Samsung's DV-1A side/bottom vent kit. Information about side and bottom venting can be found on Samsung's website, or you may want to consult with your Best Buy appliance or installation team to determine which set up best suits your needs. Thank you for the question, Ms. Samsung
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have this exact washer (just love it) and I have mine pushed back just enough to allow clearance for vents and hoses. However, you indicate that you only have about 4 inches. While this is enough space for your water hoses, it does not leave sufficient room for your dryer to vent (assuming your dryer is on the same wall). Unless of course your dryer can vent directly out the back wall (as opposed to the side or bottom).
