Best buy has a whole section devoted to the nuanced differences between open-box, refurbished, pre-owned, etc. which you can find here... http://www.bestbuy.com/site/electronics/outlet-refurbished-clearance/pcmcat142300050026.c?id=pcmcat142300050026 For your specific question.... An Open Box model refers to those items Customers return opened for a variety of reasons — a gift was the wrong color or model, or the TV or appliance was too big to fit. Other open-box products previously served as in-store displays. Each open-box product has been tested or inspected to verify it's in proper working order, its physical appearance was validated, and most of them include all parts and accessories (exceptions are noted as part of the product's condition). The full manufacturer's warranty for an open-box product is the same as buying a factory-sealed product, and Best Buy's Return & Exchange Promise also applies. Check out that link for even more information. Cheers!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Open Box doesn't mean Store display item. It can be even returned by another customer who didn't want/like the product. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe "Open Box" is either a return or a display model. I've never had an issue with Best Buy when purchasing an "Open Box" item.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, that is usually what that mean. You can usually purchase an open box for a discount price.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have found that open box means usually a product that was purchased prior and returned for one reason or another, but not necessarily damaged. I have purchased some open box products that are in excellent condition and have not had any problems at all.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Open box means that it could have been a display television or that the box got opened some other way.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Something gets the label "open box" for a variety of reasons. Could have been returned by a customer, or it's package was damaged when received by the store or the item is no longer going to be carried by the store, or the manufacturer changes the items model number. There are more reasons I am sure. Anyway, anything that is sold as an open box has been checked out and is guaranteed to be working properly. I've bought many open box items and most of them were never even opened.
