Hi Snowman, I have Frontier Communications. With the cable/box connection and a monthly rental fee, they have the DVD box connected for TV/Cable recording on my Samsung. I also have a BlueRay box. Since I just got the new TV, I have not attached the BlueRay. However, there are enough plug connections on the back of the TV to do this. My guess is that you can attach your VCR onto the TV. Also, my guess is that the TV instructions should be able to help. If not call their Samsung Customer Service to see if they can help. Cheers.
