• Hi Cary, You do not need Wi-Fi if you are going to connect to an external antenna for local channels or cable/dish. However, you do need an internet connection to Stream apps. However, you could use your cell phone to screen mirror and stream apps that way. I hope this helps! ~Samsung Advisor
